DBYS- KARJAT, NOVEMBER 6, 2012: It was the golden letter day for Don Bosco Yuva Sanstha, Karjat. With immense pleasure and joy, the opening of our prestigious Eco Centre: Don Bosco Nisarg Dhara was announced at Karjat.
This Ecological project was blessed and inaugurated by the provincial Rev. Fr. Michael Fernandes, sdb on November 6, 2012. Among those present were the staff and the students of Don Bosco Yuva Sanstha, Karjat, the benefactors and sponsors of the project and other well wishers.
The various eco friendly models like bio gas plant, bio compost grey water recycling, paper making, charcoal and briquette making, tapping solar energy, use of innovative chulas, bottle garden, growing vegetables in sacks, garbage garden are displayed in this innovative eco garden.
The praise goes to the team of Fr. Xavier Devadas for the excellent work they have done within such a short span of time. The layout and the landscape of the eco garden left those present spell bound. The eco garden is now open and ready to receive regular visitors.
